Delete your account

You can delete your FIRE:STARTERS account, and the data that comes with it, at any time. Deletion is permanent. It happens right away and can’t be undone.

Three ways to delete

• In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete account, then confirm.
• On the web: sign in at firestarters.us, open Settings, and under Your account & data choose Delete next to Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm.
• By email, if you can't sign in: write to support@firestarters.us from the email address on your account, with “Delete my account” in the subject. We'll confirm it's you and delete the account within 30 days.

Before you delete

Want a copy first? Signed in on the web, Settings → Download your data gives you a JSON copy of your posts, comments, messages, reactions, bookmarks, follows and friendships. It doesn’t include your photos or videos.

What we delete

• Your profile: name, username, bio, profile picture, birth year, location and settings.
• Everything you posted as yourself: posts, comments, prayers, the testimonies you submitted, your soul-winning records and the moments you shared on the map, along with the photos, videos and voice recordings you uploaded. The files are deleted from our storage too, normally within minutes.
• Teams you own: if you own a team, the team is deleted for everyone, along with its member list and the posts shared in it.
• Your activity: reactions, reposts, bookmarks, poll votes, prayer intercessions, follows, friends, blocks, mutes, team and organization memberships, event check-ins, event reminders and calendar feed links.
• Your messages: every message you sent is deleted. The people you talked with keep the conversation, without your messages.
• Your tickets and ticket orders. The payment processor keeps its own payment records.
• Your notifications, notification settings and the device tokens used to send you push notifications.
• Your sign-in: your email address, password and any connected Apple or Google sign-in.

What we keep

• Safety records: reports you filed, reports others filed about you, and moderation decisions stay, so the platform's safety history holds. Your account is unlinked from them, but anything written in a report, including an email address you gave us when reporting, stays.
• Flagged uploads: a file our safety checks have flagged is kept after you delete your account, for as long as the law requires.
• Things you made for everyone: events you published for an organization (people may have tickets or reminders for them) and churches, ministries or music you added to the directory stay up without your name. Posts you published on behalf of an organization stay on its page, without the photos or videos you uploaded, and organization and artist pages you manage stay up without you as an admin.
• Anything else the law requires us to keep, such as records of reports we have made to the authorities.
• Backups: our database keeps daily backups for 7 days, so deleted data is gone from backups within 7 days.
