Community Guidelines

The standards our moderation enforces.

Firestarters is a place to share what God has done, to pray for one another, to find churches and ministries, and to win souls. We aim to be truthful, honoring, and kind across every tribe, tongue, and tradition. Disagreement is welcome; dishonor is not.

Do

  • Encourage, pray for, and build up one another.
  • Share testimony honestly (public testimonies are vetted).
  • Engage across denominations with humility and grace.
  • Use block / mute / report if something is wrong.

Don’t

  • Harassment & bullying — targeting, pile-ons, slurs, demeaning others.
  • Hate — attacks on people based on who they are.
  • Sexual content & nudity — no pornography or sexualized content.
  • Child safety — zero tolerance for any sexualization of minors or CSAM; reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.
  • Threats & violence — credible threats, incitement, glorifying violence.
  • Self-harm — don’t encourage it. If you’re struggling, we’ll surface help (US: 988).
  • Spam & scams — manipulation, fraud, deceptive or fake giving requests.
  • Impersonation — don’t pose as another person, ministry, or leader.
  • Doxxing — never expose private information or the location of believers in hostile regions.
  • Illegal content and circumventing safety tools.

Doctrinal disagreement — a lighter track

The Body of Christ doesn’t agree on everything, and that’s expected here. You may hold and express convictions — but attack ideas, not people. Moderators do not adjudicate theology; we enforce conduct, not belief. Persistent, hostile, divisive attacks dressed up as “doctrine” are still harassment and will be actioned.

Testimony integrity

Testimonies are reviewed before they go public. Fabricating a testimony, or misrepresenting others’ stories, leads to removal and possible account action.

Enforcement

We use a proportionate ladder: notice → content removal → temporary suspension → permanent ban. Severe violations (CSAM, grooming, credible threats) skip the ladder to an immediate ban and referral to authorities. Most actions can be appealed; child-safety bans cannot.
