Army Rise!

July 18, 2026

A valley of dry bones is a picture of what happens when hope evaporates. God doesn't ask Ezekiel to bury the dead. He asks him to do something radical: speak.

Ezekiel 37:10 — So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

The valley of dry bones isn’t just a battlefield graveyard; it is a picture of what happens when hope evaporates. Scattered, bleached, and stripped of life—we all face situations, relationships, or dreams that look completely beyond saving. But God does not ask Ezekiel to bury the dead. He asks him to do something radical: speak.

1. Speak What Is Commanded, Not What You See

Ezekiel did not prophesy his own grief, his frustration, or the bleak reality staring back at him. Notice the precision: “So I prophesied as He commanded me.”

True prophetic power is not human eloquence—it is divine alignment. When you only speak what your eyes see, you multiply despair. When you open your mouth and declare what God says over a dead situation, you stop echoing the atmosphere of the valley and start releasing the authority of Heaven.

2. Structure Is Nothing Without the Breath

Before verse 10, the bones had already rattled together. Sinew attached, flesh grew, and skin covered them. But they were still dead on the ground.

You can have the right structure, the right strategy, and all the pieces in place—but organization without the Spirit is just a well-dressed corpse. Nothing truly lives until the ruach—the breath and wind of God—sweeps into the room. Stop settling for the appearance of life. Cry out for the breath!

3. From Relics to a Standing Army

Look at the trajectory of grace: from fragmented relics scattered on the dirt to a chayil—an exceedingly great, empowered, fighting force standing on their feet.

God does not resurrect your dry bones just so you can survive, and He does not pull you out of the grave just to sit on the sidelines. He revives you to stand, to function, and to push back the darkness. You are not just being healed; you are being commissioned.

Stop staring in silence at the graveyard of your disappointments. Whatever lies dormant in your family, your calling, or your community today—align your vocabulary with the King. Open your mouth, prophesy the word of the Lord, invite the breath of God, and watch the army rise.
